Is the free tier really free forever?+
Yes. No credit card, no trial period. 2,500 requests every month on the Data API + 1,000 scrapes on Scrape + a free tier on Watch, Ask, and Brief. We designed it so you can run a real side project without paying anything.
What happens when I hit my limit?+
Free: you get HTTP 429 until the next billing cycle. Paid tiers (Pro, Business): overage at $1/1K (Pro) or $0.80/1K (Business). No surprises — you always see a usage meter at /workspace/billing.
Can I switch plans later?+
Yes, instantly. Upgrade is prorated — pay the difference now, keep your billing date. Downgrade takes effect at the end of the period. Cancel anytime.
Do Data, Scrape, Watch, Ask, and Brief share a key?+
Yes. One X-API-Key works against every Katzilla product. They bill separately — you can be on Data Pro + Scrape Free + Ask Free, or whatever combination fits.
